FOR ICBC CLAIMS
Did you know that in BC, ICBC automatically entitles you to the following treatments if you’re involved in an accident? Once you have your claim # you can book the following assessments and treatments, at no or limited cost to you:
- 25 Physiotherapy Treatments
- 12 Kinesiology Treatments
- 12 Massage Therapy Treatments
- 12 Clinical Counselling Treatments
- 12 Acupuncture treatments
Maximize your recovery by utilizing ICBC’s pre-approved treatments within 12 weeks of your accident. ***After Initial assessments are booked, you can go ahead and book your follow-up treatments with each of our clinicians.
Are there any costs for these treatments?
ICBC covers most or all of your treatment costs. However, there may occasionally be a small difference between what ICBC pays and our clinic rates—this is called a co-pay fee.
At Advance Concussion Clinic, we apply co-pays only when necessary. These fees are typically minimal and, in many cases, can be billed directly to your extended health insurance, minimizing or eliminating out of pocket costs.
For accidents within B.C.
Less than 12 weeks from MVA
If you’ve been in a motor vehicle accident in the last 12 weeks, you can access Advance Concussion’s services and interdisciplinary team.
No referral needed, either. Over the course of your treatment, we’ll work with your ICBC adjuster to ensure funding approvals. You just focus on your recovery!
More than 12 weeks from MVA
If it’s been more than 12 weeks since your accident, we can work with ICBC on your behalf to coordinate treatment.
This process can take longer, ‘cause we work with your individual adjuster to help get your treatment approved. A referral from your family physician helps speed the process up.
For accidents outside B.C.
If you were involved in a car accident outside B.C. (or in the US), we can help you with your concussion recovery. We accommodate some out-of-province insurers for treatment funding.
